Alpha-isomethyl ionone is a chemical, colorless to light yellow liquid, with violet aroma and sweet taste. Soluble in ethanol, propylene glycol and non-volatile oil, insoluble in glycerin and water. There are violet flowers and iris. China GB2760-86 stipulates that it is allowed to use edible spices. Mainly used to prepare raspberry and other flavors.
